Isn’t it funny how your insecurities create flaws that no one else notices? When these boots popped up on my instagram feed it was love at first sight. I had no clue what I would wear them with, but I needed them. But after trying them on I realized they highlighted one of my (many) insecurities; my foot to ankle ratio 😂. Seriously, with my chicken legs and basically non-existent ankles, I feel like my feet give Lacienega Boulevardez tease. So for that reason, I usually avoid ankle boots, pointy toed shoes and ballet flats.
I held on to these boots for 3 weeks before deciding to return them, but after mentioning it to my boyfriend he convinced me to keep them. Nearly 2 weeks after that, I finally mustered up the courage to wear them and I got so many compliments that every insecurity melted away and I felt as confident as ever. Even when I mentioned how bulky they made my feet look my friends assured me that they looked fine and that I was trippin.
These track pants were a perfect match since they have a tapered fit, but zip down from the knee creating the option of a slim/straight look. I wore them unzipped to show off the boots, but they’re still long enough to cover my ankles (or lack thereof) and the added width balances the size of my foot with the size of my leg. I still think my feet look like boats lol but if no one else thinks so I suppose I can live with that. 🙄
